WOOD TURNING
We developed a love of wood turning several years ago, but only recently have incorporated it into our work. It is a beautiful and richly rewarding craft that is teaching us patience, discipline, problem-solving and allows us to enjoy the tactile and visual qualities of wood. True to our mission, nothing is wasted. We use our off cuts to turn.
We have several lathes at the shop and and can turn spindles, bowls, legs and even big stumps. Our turning capacities are wide - 18”W x 17’L on the 25B lathe, and 50”W and up to 10’L on the Oliver 66 gap bed lathe. Also true to our nature, these are as “old school” as they come, just like us. Please contact us at info@nycityslab.com for more information.
